ALBION

•Corke, Julia A., age 99, died October 7, 2005 at the Orleans County Nursing Home. She was a former employee of Duffy-Motts, Holley. Predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1965. She is survived by a son, James (Marge) Corke of Rochester; 11 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son Colin; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Interment North Pembroke Cemetery. Memorials can be made to PAWS or Hospice of Orleans in her memory.


BERGEN

•Hall, Eleanor L., October 8, 2005, at age 75. She is survived by her children, William J. (Susann) Hall, Mark A. (Robin Martino) Hall; her grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany Hall and Codey Hall; her sisters, Elsie Palmer and Jean (Art) Jones; her brother, Clyde Thurley; many nieces and nephews. Eleanor is predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Floyd, Ken, Alvin, Etta, Norm and Evelyn.

Funeral Services were held October 12 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Churchville. Interment, Riga Cemetery. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Lions Club of Chili in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Benedict, Enos S., formerly of Brockport, died October 5, 2005, in Delray Beach, Florida. He and his wife Doris, who died in 2000, had retired to Delray Beach in the 1970s. Mr. Benedict had been an attorney in Brockport and a police justice in the Town of Sweden. He is survived by his daughter Martha Hunt of Boca Raton, Florida and by his son Tom of New York City. Services were private.


•Ferguson, Paul F., Ph.D., On October 10, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Camilla (Wolfe) Ferguson; his sons, Devon (Jennifer) of Newark and Jason of Rochester; his grandchildren, Jacob and Courtney; his sister, Mary Carlisle of Rhode Island; three nephews and his beloved pets, Dash and Gussie.

A Funeral Mass was said October 14 at the Newman Oratory, Brockport. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Serenity House, Brace Road, Victor 14564 or the Newman Oratory, Kenyon Street, Brockport 14420 in his memory.


•McDiarmid, Gladys O., On October 7, 2005, at the age of 89. She is predeceased by her husband, James; daughter, Gladys Fisk and son-in-law, Dale. Survived by her granddaughter, Amy Emerick.

A Graveside Service was held October 11 at Lake View Cemetery, Brockport. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.


BYRON

•Kaiser, V.E. "Betty," October 11, 2005, age 76. Wife of the late Friedhelm Kaiser; mother of Helen (Allen) Bilohlavek of Brockport and Deborah Kaiser of Michigan; sister of Winifred and Gwendolyn, both of England; grandmother of Tuanna (Noel) Lutes, Robyn (Steve) Schubmehl and Alana Bilohlavek, all of Holley and four great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held October 15 at North Bergen Presbyterian Church, Bergen. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audobon Parkway West, Amherst, NY 14228 or a charity of one's choice.


CHURCHVILLE

•Drake-Mason, Susan L., October 3, 2005, at age 51. She is predeceased by her father Merle G. Drake and her husband, Frank Mason. She is survived by her mother, Anita N. Drake; her brothers and sisters, Merle N. (Diane) Drake, Leslie C. (Nancy) Drake, Sara (Ronald) Stephens, Douglas E. Drake, Sherre (James) Albright and Sheila (Thomas) McDonald; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Susan was a member of the Eastern Star Nolatka Chapter #320.

A Memorial Service and Eastern Star Service were held October 14 at United Methodist Church of Churchville. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the Red Cross "Hurricane Relief" in her memory.


•Woityra, Viola "Barber," age 79, died October 6, 2005 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, New York. She was a lifelong resident of Churchville. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Genesee Valley in Rochester and had operated the family farm with her husband Edward. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Churchville and St. Mary's of the Lake in Watkins Glen. She is survived by her sister, Anna Sgrecci of Watkins Glen; brother, James Barber of Montour Falls; sisters-in-law Fran (John) Kolbas of Norwich, and Mae Bartman of Henrietta, brother-in-law, William (Pat) Woityra of Churchville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Woityra; brothers Jimmy, who died at the age of 9, and Paul Barber, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated October 8 at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Watkins Glen. Burial was held October 11 at Creekside Cemetery, Churchville.


HILTON

•Reuschle, Paul F., October 12, 2005 after a valiant fight with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; children, Chad (Chastity) Reuschle, Christine (Charles Capasso); his grandchildren, Austin and Jordan Reuschle, Shane and Simona Sanders and Zoe Sanders; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Sanders; brothers, Terry and John Robert Reuschle.

A Funeral Mass was said October 15 at St. Leo Church, Hilton. Interment, St. Rose Cemetery, Lima. Donations can be made to Robert Coppaway Memorial Scholarship, Hilton Ambulance, or St. Leo Church in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Freestone, Alfred T., Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at age 75. He was predeceased by his wife, Georgia and his granddaughter, Ali. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Dottie Freeman; children John and Richard Freestone, Robin (Dan) Merritt, Loranne and Scott Morgan; brother-in-law, Roy (Marlene) Kenyon; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many wonderful friends. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company.

NORTH CHILI

•Morton, Nelson A., October 6, 2005 at age 95. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen of 64 years; son Alfred; granddaughter, Debra Morton; great granddaughter, Rachele Rudd; sister, Helen Simpson; brother, Herbert. He is survived by his wife Jean (Adams) Morton; sons Raymond (Rosemary) of Arizona and Fred (Ginny) of Florida; daughters Alice (John) McFarlane of Canada and Mary Lou (Jack) Bates of North Chili; daughter-in-law, Betty (Duane) Peterson of Arizona; sister Ruth (Chris) Pappas; sister-in-law, Dorothy Morton; brother-in-law, Thomas Simpson; 15 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; step children Charmy (Mal) Perry, Glenn (Cheryl), Todd (Janet) and Greg (Laura) Adams; 17 step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

He operated the Morton Farm on Westside Drive in Churchville for many years and served as Trans-portation Supervisor in the Churchville Chili School District for 10 years. He served on the Board of Trustees of Roberts Wesleyan College for 25 years, and the Boards of Pearce Memorial Church and Lighthouse Christian Camp.

Funeral Services were held October 10 at Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church, North Chili. Inter-ment, North Chili Rural Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Pearce Memorial Church or to Lighthouse Christian Camp, 9574 Somerset Drive, Barker, New York 14012 in his memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Schneider, Ewald, October 8, 2005, at age 75. He is predeceased by his parents, Oswald and Kaethe Schneider, his wife, Virginia (Moll) Schneider and his daughter, Karen (MacDowell) MacKay. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kay Schneider; his daughters, Debby and Beth Schneider; his brothers, Wilfred (Elfriede), Reinhard (Gisela) Schneider; his sisters, Heidi (Jack) Armstrong and Reinhilde (Alphonse) Reusch; several nieces and nephews. Ewald was a member of the Latta Road Baptist Church for 55 years.
