Cadets sweep leads to victory

Lisa Hardie, Ellie Price and Karen McGavern finished 1-2-3 in the 100-yard breastroke to break a 73-73 tie and lead Hilton to a 94-82 victory over Spencerport at the new Hilton Aquatics Center.

Hardie took first in 1:14.29 and took honors in the 50-yard freestyle in :27.10. She was also part of two first place relay teams - with Whitney Hickey, Mary Jurgans and Jackie Rode in the 200-yard and the 400-yard.

Rode took the 200-yard individual medley in 2:29.40, Hickey the 100-yard backstroke in 1:07.20, Christine Zulkosky the 100-yard butterfly in 1:08.83 and Kara Engle the diving competition with 113.80 points.

For Spencerport, Katie Buckwell took first in two events: the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.62 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:38.90. Kayla McNall won the 100-yard freestyle in :59.28 and was on the winning 200-medley relay team with Lena Sanfilipo, Laura Spiegal and Michelle Ammons in 2:07.33.
