Oak Orchard Watershed Protection Alliance meeting set

The Oak Orchard Watershed Protection Alliance was established in August of 2004 to guide the development of the State of the Basin Report for the Oak Orchard Watershed. This State of the Basin Report will inventory assets and problems the watershed is facing, and act as the first "stepping stone" to a watershed-wide plan.

There will be a meeting on November 16 at 7 p.m. to discuss the progress to date.

To view draft report information visit the SUNY Brockport website at http://vortex.weather.brockport.edu/~jzollweg/oakorchard/ or the Lake Plains RC&D website www.lakeplainsrcd.org and click on Oak Orchard Watershed Protection Alliance - State of the Basin Report.

The meeting is open to the public and will be at the Orleans County Soil and Water Office, 446 West Avenue, Albion.
