Alhart to MC Lakeside event for 10th year

Don Alhart, Associate News Director and Anchor of WHAM, Channel 13 News, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for Lakeside Foundation's 17th Annual Gala Dinner. James Carville and Mary Matalin are this year's guest speakers. This year's event will be held on Friday, December 9 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Don Alhart first participated as Lakeside's MC when he helped welcome President Gerald Ford in 1995. This year will mark Alhart's 10th Anniversary as MC for Lakeside's Annual Gala Dinner.

"Over the last ten years, Don Alhart's participation as MC has become a tradition at our gala event. He is enjoyed by guests and volunteers, as well as our guest speaker, year after year," stated Susan Fanara, chair of the Annual Dinner Planning Committee. "He is also a wonderful poet and has made a tradition of writing and reciting a poem each year in honor of our guest speaker."
