Local senior citizens visit Roberts Wesleyan College

Seventy-five Senior Citizens of Riga (SCOR) visited Roberts Wesleyan College on October 11 for a tour and lunch in the Ellen Stowe Roberts Dining Room. The seniors were guided through presentations in the Roberts Cultural Life Center, including the Davison Art Gallery; the Voller Athletic Center; and lunch in Garlock Dining Commons, with a musical presentation by Roberts student Janet Scheer, as well as a campus overview by President John Martin. SCOR visits local places of interest monthly. Their destination is a secret - the seniors never know from one month to the next where the buses will take them on their journey. SCOR member Florence Hart (shown in the attached photo, flanked by RWC President John Martin, left, and Bill Bigham, vice president for advancement) said that many seniors had driven by the campus of Roberts Wesleyan College for years, but had never stopped to visit.
