McJury has two points in loss
Senior forward Eric McJury scored one goal and added an assist, but Brockport fell to Fairport 3-2 in high school hockey.
The Red Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the game when Matt Gupp tucked home the puck inside the post after a scramble behind the Brockport net.
The Blue Devils tied the game with a power play goal at 5:03 of the second period when defenseman Zak Novak passed to McJury, who skated coast to coast and scored.
Fairport retook the lead in the final minute of the second period; just seconds after Brockport had successfully killed off two consecutive five-on-three advantages, with a tip-in of a shot from the point. They opened up a two-goal lead with a shorthanded goal on a dump-in from their own zone halfway through the third.
At the 10:34 mark of the third, Novak put a long, breakout pass on McJury's stick, who skated through the slot and scored bringing Brockport to within one goal. The Blue Devils had a power play for the last 90 seconds of regulation and the goaltender pulled for the final half-minute, but could not manage a shot on net.
Troy LaDue made 21 saves for Brockport, who were 1-for-11 on the power play and dropped to 3-3 on the season.
