SUNY Brockport's radio station receives national award

SUNY Brockport's WBSU-FM station 89.1 The Point has received a national award for its participation in the 13th Annual Coats for Kids Promotion in October 2004. The Point was a finalist in the 2005 Collegiate Broadcasters Inc. Student Production Awards for Best Station Promotion.

The Best Station Promotion Award is the 12th award that the station has received in the last 17 years at the state and national level including recognition from the New York State Broadcasters Association for excellence in broadcasting, awards from the Broadcasters Education Association and from the National Association of Collegiate Broadcasters.
