Orleans county nursing scholarships available

The Orleans County American Legion will be offering a nursing scholarship to an Orleans county resident who will graduate from high school in June 2006.

The applications are available in the school counselor's office in the following school districts: Albion, Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville and Medina. The scholarship recipient must be accepted into an accredited program leading to a degree in nursing. The scholarship will be awarded for two years, $500 each year.

Contact your local American Legion Post in Orleans County for the name of the Legionnaire who is responsible for your school for additional information. The applications are due Saturday, April 15.
