Jackson's four-point effort leads Saints
Senior defenseman Bill Jackson had four assists and Churchville-Chili got goals from six different players in a 6-3 come-from-behind win over the Greece Lightning.
After spotting the Lightning a 2-0 lead on two first period power play goals, the Saints settled down in the second period. Ben Rossignolo pounced on the rebound of a Jackson shot from the point for their first goal at the 4:24 mark. C-C tied the game six minutes later when E.J. Coyne forced a turnover along the boards, creating a goal by Kyle Easton with assists to Cody Hewitt and Mark Bertoloni.
With less than two minutes remaining in the second period, the Saints took a 3-2 lead when Chris Rossignolo scored off a rebound with assists from Steve Conlon and Jackson.
Greece Arcadia/Olympia tied the game early in the third period with another power play goal. Just 10 seconds later, E.J. Coyne gave the Saints the lead for good with Jackson picking up his third assist of the game.
Hewitt scored to give the Saints a 5-3 lead when he was left open in the slot off the draw and Conlon got the final tally on the power play in the final minutes.
C-C goaltender Danny Kuntz came on in relief in the first period and made 13 saves to pick up the win. The Saints out-shot the Lightning 43-21 and improved to 10-2 on the season.
