The members of Girl Scout Troop 733 in Spencerport have each earned a Bronze Award, the highest honor given to Junior Girl Scouts. For their award project, the girls sent more than 35 goody boxes to U.S. soldiers who are serving in Iraq. Many local merchants donated items for the troops. Each goody box contained homemade cookies, candy, books, gloves, friendship bracelets, Kool Aid, hot cocoa, personal care supplies, vitamins and other items. The girls wrapped gifts at Christmas time to work for donations that would be used to pay for the postage to ship their goody boxes to Iraq.
