Ryan Maier, Big Ridge Road, Spencerport, has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for fall 2005. He is a 2005 graduate of E. J. Wilson High School in Spencerport and the son of Rick and Tammy Maier. Maier is in the honors program at SUNY Brockport.


Rebecca Loughlin, of Hubbard Drive, North Chili, has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for fall 2005. She is a 2001 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School and the daughter of Tom and Bonnie Loughlin. With a GPA of 3.74, Loughlin was listed on the dean's list with honors. She is a nursing major.


Kristina Loughlin of Hubbard Drive, North Chili, has achieved the dean's list at Monroe Community College for the fall 2005 semester. A 2005 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School, she is the daughter of Tom and Bonnie Loughlin.

Loughlin is a human services major at MCC.


Valerie Dimino, Hilton, has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for fall of 2005. She is a 2004 graduate of Hilton High School and is the daughter of Frank and Linda Dimino.

She also achieved the president's list, having earned a 4.0 GPA for the fall 2005 semester.


Jenna Christine Bower, Holley, has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for fall of 2005. She is a 2002 graduate of Holley and is the daughter of Mark and Karen Bower. She earned president's list with a 4.0 GPA.


Ashley L. Anzalone, of Spencerport, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester at Alfred University. She is a senior in the School of Art and Design. Students must earn at least a 3.3 grade point average to qualify for dean's list. Anzalone is a graduate of Brockport High School.


Katie Gerenski, daughter of Bob and Karen Gerenski of Holley, has been named to the fall 2005 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Gerenski, a senior, is a communications major.


Nicole L. Pessin, of Hilton, has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for fall 2005. She is a 2001 graduate of Hilton High School and is the daughter of Ray and Linda Pessin.


Kim Morse of Brockport has been named to the dean's list at Nazareth College for the fall 2005 semester. She is a 2005 graduate of Brockport High School and the daughter of Mark and Linda Morse of Brockport.


St. Bonaventure University's fall 2005 dean's list students from this area include:

•Spencerport: Jessica Bartock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David M. Bartock, Michael Landers, son of Ms. Debra L. Landers;

Churchville: Trevor Cutaiar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Cutaiar, Kaitlyn Keidel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Keidel;

North Chili: Sara Maurer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Maurer;

Hilton: Jessica Schiefer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Schiefer;

Brockport: Ryan Shannon, son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Shannon.


Jenna Marie Steiner of Hilton, achieved second honors for academic accomplishments during the fall 2005 semester. She is one of only 1,205 Georgetown University undergraduate students recognized with second honors. There are approximately 6,700 undergraduates now studying at Georgetown.

Undergraduates receiving second honors earned a grade point average of 3.7 or better on a 4.0 scale.


Morrisville State College announced the following students named to the dean's list for the fall semester from this area: Nadine N. Allen of Churchville; Erika M. Attoma and Jessica L. Sweeney, both of Hilton; Jennifer E. Habgood of Hamlin; David M. Hull and Jennifer E. Renker, both of Spencerport.

To be named to the dean's list, a student must achieve an average of 3.0 to 3.99 for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.


Air Force Airman Jason Ophardt has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is a graduate of Spencerport schools. His parents are David and Kelli Ophardt of Chili and Melinda and Bruce Gates of Kendall, who were present for the ceremony.


Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Robert A. Millspaugh, son of Jean M. and Richard A. Millspaugh of Hamlin and his fellow shipmates are in the middle of a scheduled deployment while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, homeported in Norfolk, Virginia.


Army Reserve Spec. Jonathan M. Miller was honored at a special Welcome Home Warrior-Citizen Award ceremony in recognition of the soldier's personal sacrifice, exceptional duty performance, and honorable service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

The reservist is assigned to the 88th Regional Readiness Command headquartered at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The solider is a member of the 428th Military Police Company, Detachment 1, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

At the ceremony, the commanding general of the Army Reserve presented the soldier the award package, exclusively for Army Reserve Citizen-Soldiers. It consists of a personalized encased American flag, a commander's coin with Reserve logos, a lapel pin set for the soldier and spouse, and a Welcome Home Warrior-Citizen flag.

Miller, a military police specialist, is the son of Stephen D. and Linda M. Miller of Hamlin.

He graduated from Brockport High School in 2001.


Air Force Airman Bradley B. Sisson has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Donald and Marcella Sisson of Rochester. The airman is a 2004 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School, Churchville.
