Students at Brockport High School were honored as 2006 Rochester Finger Lakes Region Scholastic Art Award recipients. The winners are: Esther Bruening, grade 12, gold key award for her art portfolio and honorable mention for her painting "Me and My Guitar." Nathan LaFrance, grade 12, gold key award for photo "Wheat." Jessica Rios, grade 12, honorable mention for her painting "JESS." Stephanie Robson, grade 11, silver key award for her drawing "Entwined." Galina Sagan, grade 11, honorable mention for her painting "Jewels." Nicole Weber, grade 11, silver key award for photo "After the Rain." The 2006 Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition and Awards Ceremony was held at Rochester Institute of Technology. Student work will be on exhibit at RIT's Bevier Gallery, Booth Building (7A) from Sunday, February 5, through Tuesday, February 21. All gold key winners' artwork will be sent to New York City and continue for competition at the national level. February 5, 2006 |
