Students take second place in chili challenge
Two WE-MO-CO Culinary Arts students, Matt Whitmore and Brittany Jones, both Wheatland-Chili students, cooked their way to a second place finish at the Chilly Chili Challenge, part of the 22nd Annual Lakeside Winter Celebration at Charlotte Beach.
Whitmore and Jones are students in Chef Michael Mirabella's class. They won an inter-class competition earning them the right to represent BOCES 2 in the contest. The chili was made using Whitmore's recipe that includes several different meats along with Dave's Insanity Sauce.
