Assistant principal hired at BCSD
The Brockport Central School District Board of Education appointed Jeffrey J. DeLany, assistant principal of the A.D. Oliver Middle School, at its February 7 meeting. He starts March 13.
DeLany comes to the BCSD from the Churchville-Chili Central School District where he was an assistant principal for three-and-a-half years. Prior to that, he worked in the Spencerport Central School District as a social studies teacher for 10 years. He replaces Tara Merino who has returned to teaching at the Hilton Central School District.
Superintendent James C. Fallon said, "We are thrilled to have Jeff join our team, his skill set and background really fit the needs of our district."
"Since I have three children in the school district I have a vested interest in all aspects of the district," said DeLany. "I look forward to getting to know all the stakeholders and working with them to build on current successes."
DeLany resides in Brockport with his wife, Gwen, and three sons.
