Hilton Central Schools kindergarten registration planned

Hilton Central School District will hold its kindergarten registration in March. Parents of children whose fifth birthday falls on or before December 1, 2006 may enroll their children in Hilton's Full-Day Kindergarten Program. To register, bring: original birth certificate, proof of residency, social security card and proof of immunizations.

The kindergarten registration packet is mailed to families in early March. If a family does not receive a letter or packet, call 392-1000 ext. 7031 to be placed on the mailing list. Information about preschool screening (birth to age five) for possible developmental delays is available by calling the Hilton School District Office of Learning Support Services at 392-1000 ext. 6054.

Kindergarteners are eligible to attend the Quest Elementary School, no matter where they live in the district. Applications for entrance to Quest Elementary School were due February 28.

The elementary school attendance boundary line is Route 261 (Manitou Road) - all Greece residents attend Northwood Elementary School, 433 North Greece Road, and all residents west of the town line (Parma, Clarkson, Hamlin) attend the Village Elementary School. Quest Elementary School kindergarten registration is at 225 West Avenue, Hilton on March 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and March 14 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.; Village Elementary School kindergarten registration at 100 School Lane, Hilton and Northwood Elementary School kindergarten registration at 433 North Greece Road, Greece on March 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and March 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
