Scouts hold Court of Honor

Chili Boy Scout Troop 53 hosted a Court of Honor on February 6. Awards were given for rank advancements and for merit badges earned.

David Belknap, Eric Goodykoontz, Jake Isenhart, Andrew Lawrence, Jared Midwick, Joe Speech, Jack Tahou and Michael Volta received the rank of Tenderfoot. This is the first rank achievement after becoming an official boy scout.

Steven Cardilicchia advanced to Second Class Scout. Among the 11 requirements for Second Class, he participated in at least five campouts and has begun to learn first aid. Jeffrey Cullen and Joseph Rozzo advanced to First Class. A First Class Scout must complete 12 requirements to earn this rank. Andrew Belfield and Charles Belfield advanced to Star Scout. To achieve Star rank, a scout must have earned six merit badges, four of which are required by Eagle, and hold leadership positions within the Troop.

Charles Belfield also received the Lifesaving and Camping badges. David Belknap received the Chemistry and Archaeology badges.
