New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Acting Regional Director Kevin O'Buckley announced that images of traffic conditions on select highways in the Rochester area are now available for viewing on the Travel Information Gateway website at www.travelinfony.com

The public can log on to the website and click on Real Time Transportation Status followed by Rochester on the map of the state. Then, click on the Cameras/Traffic tab. Camera icons will appear along the Interstate expressways. Select one and you'll see a still photo that automatically updates approximately every five minutes. The photo will have a caption identifying the highway and direction of travel.

This service that was launched in September 2004, provides a method of informing travelers of current travel conditions, winter road conditions, winter safe driving tips and many other transportation-related services.
