Bill provides parents and schools with better access to sex offender records
Spencerport Superintendent Mary Anne Kermis joined Congressman Thomas M. Reynolds (R-Clarence) Monday, March 13, to announce the passage of the Children's Safety and Violent Crime Reduction Act of 2006 (H.R. 4472). The legislation helps protect children from sexual predators, adds protections for parents and schools to access national criminal information databases for background checks on perspective teachers, and brings to light the perpetrators of such vile crimes. Reynolds was a co-sponsor of the legislation.
