Students at Hilton's Northwood Elementary School learned while they earned according to teacher Jerry Adduci. Through a national program sponsored by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, students obtained sponsors and by solving math problems earned funds for donation. St. Jude is a pediatric treatment and research center which treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Prizes are offered to participants. Northwood's highest fundraiser was Lauren Molter with $195. March 26, 2006 |
