Lakeside appoints CEO and COO

The Board of Directors of Lakeside Health System announced the appointment of Kevin C. Nacy as chief executive officer of Lakeside Health System and president of Lakeside Memorial Hospital. Michael Perry was appointed chief operating officer of Lakeside Health System and president of the Lakeside Beikirch Care Center. The appointments are effective immediately.

The board said an external search was not considered necessary, as Nacy and Perry have been working in the capacity of interim CEO and president and the board has been pleased with their leadership.

Nacy and Perry, in cooperation with the board of directors, have initiated a new organizational structure for the entire health system. Nacy's responsibilities will focus on the clinical operations of LHS and Perry will focus on the business operations. The two leaders will continue to work as a team along with senior management.

Elizabeth Caruso, secretary of the board of directors, said the board is confident that both Nacy and Perry are the right leadership team to steer Lakeside Health System through the ever-changing health care business.
