Teams help out community

Spencerport varsity athletic teams participated in volunteer community service/charity projects through the Spencerport Student-Athletes Care Program during the 2005-06 winter season.

•Boys Basketball - Participated in the CVC Basketball Tournament - Donated over $4,000 to the American Cancer Society with the Girls "Coach Chow" Basketball Tournament.

•Girls Basketball - Participated in the "Coach Chow" Basketball Tournament - Donated over $4,000 to the American Cancer Society with the Boys CVC Basketball Tournament.

•Girls Volleyball - Luminaries clean up in the Village of Spencerport.

•Boys Swimming - Conducted a canned food drive - donated to Spencerport Food Shelf.

•Hockey - Made lunches for families being housed at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester. (Featured on Channel 13 "Bright Spot")

•Indoor Track - Assisted with SCS Elementary Schools PE "Turkey Trot" run

•Wrestling - Assisted with Spencerport Jr. Rangers Wrestling Tournament.

•Bowling - Donated toys for SSBC Toy Show.

•Winter Cheerleading - Assisted Ogden Recreation with their annual Easter Egg Hunt in April.
