Anointing of the sick offered at St. John, Spencerport

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, Martha Street, Spencerport at all the masses Saturday and Sunday, April 22 and 23.

This sacrament is offered for those who are physically, emotionally/mentally, and spiritually ill; for those dealing with addictions and for those facing death from illness, injury, or anomaly at any age.

The sacrament celebrates the grace for healing, strength to bear suffering, and peace in the face of death for the dying, offered by Jesus Christ. Mass is celebrated Saturday at 5 p.m., and Sunday at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Wheelchairs will be available at the church to assist those who may need help getting into the church.
