On Friday, April 28, the Village of Brockport and SUNY College at Brockport celebrated Arbor Day 2006 with a tree planting on Monroe Avenue and Utica Street. More than 60 people from 16 village, Brockport Central School and SUNY Brockport organizations came together to plant 27 trees, joined by SUNY College President John Halstead and his wife, Kathy. The Village of Brockport DPW and SUNY Brockport facilities management crew delivered trees, provided shovels, offered assistance and cleaned up the leftover piles of dirt.
