Tucker/Elliott pair lead Rangers
Seniors Rob Tucker and Scott Elliott overcame a second set defeat to win their match at first-doubles 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 to give Spencerport a 4-3 win over Batavia in boy's tennis.
The Rangers easily won three of four singles matches with first-singles Amir Aslam taking a 6-1, 6-0 decision, second-singles Joe Persia a 6-0, 6-1 winner and third-singles Dan Dixon winning 6-2, 6-1.
After dropping fourth singles along with second and third doubles, that left the match in the hands of Tucker and Elliott. The seniors delivered in the final set breaking serve to take a 3-1 lead on their way to a 6-2 victory.
The win was the Rangers' third of the season.
