Rangers drop squeaker
Lindsey Moss scored both of her goals in the second half, including the tying goal with less than nine minutes remaining, but Spencerport dropped a 10-9 decision to Irondequoit in girl's lacrosse.
The Rangers trailed by as many as four goals early in the second half before netting four consecutive goals. Stephanie Snyder took an inside pass from Moss and converted, before Moss scored into the upper corner of the net to close the Eagles lead to two. Katie Balcerak forced a turnover and scored off the bounce and Moss scored again off a pass from Lauren French to tie the game at 9-9.
The Eagles got the go-ahead goal with just over six minutes remaining to take a 10-9 lead. The Rangers then put on the offensive pressure over the final two minutes of the game, but had three scoring opportunities go wide of the net.
French and Kara Farnsworth scored twice and Kaitlin Skolny added a single tally in the first half for the Rangers.
