Students share stories
Twenty-two students from Laurie Conti's seventh grade Home and Careers class at the A.D. Oliver Middle School read their homemade books to Joshua Siuta's kindergarten class at Ginther. Students wrote about childhood memories and included pictures, drawings and words to reflect their memories and thoughts. Not only did they create a memory keepsake book, but their stories invited conversations from the kindergarten students and in many cases they found a lot of similarities through a favorite pet or activity. After the seventh graders read their books, they read a book selected by the kindergarteners who are pictured showing off some of their favorite books and the seventh graders showcase their homemade books.
