The Odyssey of the Mind team from Spencerport High School competed in the World Competition held in Ames, Iowa the week of May 23. This is the first team from Spencerport to qualify for the World competition since 1999 and did extremely well. The team placed 6th out of 48 teams in their problem category and also won the Rantra Fusca award for the exceptional creativity. This award was given to six teams out of 737 that competed and is considered the most prestigious award presented by Odyssey of the Mind. The Spencerport High School name will be engraved on the six foot trophy, including the names of all past and present winners, and will be displayed at the annual World Competition.
