BHS student is 2006 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete
Brockport High School senior Ben Barton has been selected as a 2006 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete. Ben was honored at a luncheon on April 30 with scholar-athletes from local high schools, colleges and youth programs. Scholar-Athletes are selected based on their football and academic achievements, and leadership in school and the community. Barton received a plaque and his name permanently placed in the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana.
Barton has been playing football for five years. He was named to the First Team All-County and awarded a Monroe County All-League Patch this year. He also has a Varsity letter in basketball and track and participated in Band for two years, while maintaining honor roll and high honor roll status throughout high school.
