SUNY Brockport and Wal-Mart support BFD

SUNY Brockport announced they had secured funds totaling $5,000 for technology upgrades and the associates at the Brockport Wal-Mart added $1,000 of their "Support the Community" funds to enable the department to continue with computer upgrades and enhancements that will allow the Brockport Fire Department to maintain appropriate records while improving the computerized training aids in the department's training facility.

President John Halstead presented the check from SUNY Brockport. Brockport and the towns of Sweden and Clarkson share in the cost of the department.

The Wal-Mart associates at the Brockport store have named the Brockport Volunteer Fire Department for the last three years as a community partner. Previous years donations have been used for CPR and Rescue Dummies.
