At the Brockport High School graduation ceremony, Jessica Knapp was awarded the Thomas and Helen Hage Scholarship award. This award, given in memory of Thomas and Helen Hage, is presented to a graduating senior entering a college program and who possesses good citizenship qualities, a high cumulative average, who has participated in community service and overcome adversity by their own self-motivation and drive. Knapp graduated with honors achieving a 96.21 cumulative average for four years at Brockport High School. She has been a member of National Honor Society, Varsity Club, Key Club, SADD and the BHS Band. A participant in the Senior Citizen Prom, SMART (Students Mixing Athletics & Reading Together) Readers and Leukemia Dance Marathon, Jessica is a three-year Varsity Cheerleader who was Most Valuable Player in 2004 and 2005, and a top 20 finalist in the National Cheerleader of the Year competition. She will attend Monroe Community College in the 2+2 program this fall, majoring in physical education. July 16, 2006 |
