Quilts for quints
Cheryl Sauter, member of the Canal Country Quilters, headed up a group to make quilts for the Barreiro Quintuplets in Hamlin. A quilt was made for each baby and delivered to their home. The quilters also made several quilts that were donated to the Red Cross and ABC. Nearly 45 members now belong to the group. The Spencerport Wesleyan Church provides a meeting room and the Canal Country Quilters have workshops and sew days at the church. A church member donated a large bolt of fabric for the guild to use in upcoming charity projects. Donated baby quilts are shown with members from left to right Sandy McCauley, Fran Colby, Marlene Connelly, Cheryl Sauter and Tammie Swaney. Submitted photo.
