New administrator
comes to Byron-Bergen
The Byron-Bergen Board of Education, at their July 27 meeting, appointed Keith Wing to the position of 5-12 Dean of Students/Athletic Director.
Wing comes to Byron-Bergen from Livonia Central School where he taught high school and junior high social studies from 2001-2006. He has coached five different sports from modified to varsity level including football, girls basketball, wrestling, softball and baseball.
Wing earned his bachelor's degree in elementary education from SUNY Oswego and his master's degree in liberal studies from SUNY Brockport, where he also did his educational administration coursework.
As 5-12 Dean of Students/Athletic Director, Wing will be responsible for many of the middle school and high school daily operations along with student management, extracurricular activities and athletic programming.
"Byron-Bergen is well known throughout Section V and New York state for having strong programs and I am both honored and excited to be a part of such a great school and community," Wing said.
