AREA
Harper, Ralph S., August 20, 2006, at age 91. Predeceased by his wife, Genevieve Gay Harper and son, John R. Mr. Harper is survived by his sister, Mildred Prevost; sons, Ralph Richard (Helen) and James William (Constance); daughter-in-law, Margo Harper; grandchildren, Christina (Erick) Pires, David Harper, Richard (Susan) Harper, Carol DuBois, Joel (Julie) Harper and J. Randall Harper; great-grandchildren, Erick, Dustin and Dylan Pires, Nicole, Natalie and Stephen Harper, Ashley and Zachary DuBois, Stephanie, Emily and Joshua Harper, Elizabeth Edwards; many nieces and nephews; and close friend, Kathy Gosnell. Mr. Harper was the founder of Harper Parks.
A Funeral Service was held August 24 at All Seasons Chapel in White Haven Memorial Park where interment followed. Contributions can be made to the West Henrietta Baptist Church, 5660 West Henrietta Road, West Henrietta, NY 14543 in his memory.
BERGEN
Yaw, Ruth M. (Woodard), August 19, 2006, age 94. Predeceased by her husband, Charles L. Yaw. Survived by her children, Richard (Mame) Yaw of Batavia, Carol (Richard) Smith of Lakeland, Florida and Charlene (Munroe) Kuhlkin of Spencerport. She was grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held August 26 at the Bergen First Presbyterian Church. Those wishing can contribute to the Bergen First Presbyterian Church in her memory.
BROCKPORT
Korber, Jane W., On August 19, 2006. Predeceased by parents Warren and Lillian Willis, brother Donald Smith, and is survived by her husband, Eugene; brothers-in-law, Vincent (Wilma) Korber, Harold (Marcia) Korber; sister-in-law, June Wheeler; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and grand niece and nephew. Jane was a teacher at Kendall for six years, taught at the Pittsford School District for 27 years and was a longtime member of St. Luke's Altar Guild and Eastern Star.
A Funeral Service was held August 25 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Brockport. Interment, Lake View Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church or Park Ridge Hospital in her memory.
Wilson, Jack C., August 20, 2006 at the age of 81. Predeceased by brothers and sisters. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janice; children, Laura (Earl) Luce, Kevin (Sharon), Scott, Nancy Flow; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay Bates of Florida and Barbara Evershed; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held August 23 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or Lakeside Hospital in his memory.
HILTON
Hinkley, Ruth C. (Pehta), Peacefully, on August 19, 2006, age 79. She was predeceased by her husband, John, 1991. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Mary) Hinkley, Judy (George) Fridd, George (Nancy) Hinkley, Jean (Richard) Kaiser; her brother, George (Mary) Pehta, sister, Audrey (Robert) Kuhn; sister-in-law, Grace VerWulst, brother-in-law, "Pete" Hinkley; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was said August 22 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment, St. John's Cemetery. Contributions can be made to S.E.A.S. Church Building Fund in her memory.
Kester, Raymond L., On August 20, 2006 at age 61. Raymond passed away surrounded by his loving family. Daughters, Michelle Farina, Julie (Frank) Showers, Lora (Richard) Leo and their mother Roberta Kester; devoted grandfather to Mary, Ricky, Audra, Robert, Victoria, Allie Rae and Christina; and his companion Linda Teftt; Raymond also enjoyed the love of many in-laws. Raymond was a construction equipment operator and enjoyed restoring antique horse carriages and sleighs.
Funeral Services were held August 24 at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, Greece. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lifetime Care Hospice of Rochester, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester 14623 in his memory.
HOLLEY
Ioannone, Susie E. (Yacono), age 79, died August 20, 2006 at her residence. She was a member of St. Mary R. C. Church in Holley and a former employee of Maine Home Centers in Albion for 18 years, retiring in 1993. Mrs. Ioannone was predeceased by her husbands Andrew Yacono and Louis Ioannone and also by her daughter Sharon Messick. She is survived by her children Frank (Terri Ray) Yacono of Clarendon, Susan (Charles) Sztaba of Bergen, Charlene Yacono of Holley, Theresa (John) Banker of Henrietta and Jack (Sue) Ioannone of Lockport; son-in-law, James Messick Sr. of Florida; 21 grandchildren including Susie Boyce; 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was said August 24 at St. Mary R.C. Church. Burial, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Albion. Memorial contributions can be made to either Hospice of Orleans County or to the Fancher-Hulberton-Murray Fire Department.
NORTH CHILI
Williamson, Judith Ann, August 19, 2006, age 66. Daughter of the late Thomas W. and Leone Oltman Williamson; sister of Donna Crowley of Chili, Thomas (Shirley) Williamson of Bergen and Richard Williamson of Batavia; aunt of Michael Crowley, Kevin (Ann Marie) Williamson, Darlene Williamson, Carrie (David) Knife and Christine (James) Hood; and four great-nieces and nephews; special friend of Joe and JoAnn Treviso of Greece, David (Ginny) Lockridge of North Chili and Dharma.
At Judy's request her body has been donated to the University of Rochester for medical research. Memorials can be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Road, Mendon, NY 14506.
