The Hilton Cadets 13-Prep travel baseball team participated in the first year of the travel baseball program for the 13 year olds in Hilton. "13-Prep" is the transition year from the small field to the full size baseball field. The Cadets 13-Prep team has been together for close to a year having spent many winter nights at the batting cage, allowing the boys and coaches to jell together before the season even started. The team finished fifth in the USSSA League of 14 teams that travels throughout Monroe County with a record of 9-5-2. They also took fifth place in league playoffs. In addition to regular league games, the traveling Cadets competed in a tournament in Clarence, New York near Buffalo and closed the season with two memorable games played at Frontier Field. "I am very proud of these boys. They never gave up and we just had a blast the entire season," said Coach Bob Wagner. "It just goes to show what hard work can accomplish. Thanks to the Town of Parma for helping out in getting us started and keeping the fields in great condition." Hilton also has travel baseball at the 10 & under, 12 & under and 14/15 year old levels.
