New forest owner workshop planned

A regional workshop will be held on Saturday, October 7, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Center, 480 North Main Street, Canandaigua, and will cover basic principles of sustainable forestry practices. The content and materials are specifically designed for novice forest owners seeking a fundamental understanding of how to identify and manage the value in their forest.

Topics include: help and resources available, timber sale, firewood and alternative crops. The cost for this workshop is $15.
