Community garage sale proceeds
will help fund park project

On August 19, the Hamlin Recreation Department held a "Junk Jamboree." The event was a community garage sale that brought in 26 individuals selling a wide variety of items on the Hamlin Town Hall grounds.

Sellers said they like being in one high-traffic location. Space rental fees totaled $485 which was donated to the fund for a permanent building that will be constructed on the Town Hall grounds. The building will have restrooms, a concession area and a party room.
