The Village of Holley recognized two citizens and two firefighters for outstanding service to the community and bravery. Pictured (l-r) are: Holley Mayor John Kenney, Fire Lieutenant Michael Szymanski, Jack Wannenwetsch and Past Fire Chief Francis Gaylord. They, along with Randall Piedmonte, were recognized in a proclamation for their bravery in responding to a motor vehicle accident on July 16. Despite a vehicle fire and intense heat they pulled a driver from this burning vehicle and attempted to rescue his passenger. September 24, 2006 |
