Local students, Lifetime Assistance Seniors, Senior Center volunteers, and staff were all part of the 2nd annual Sweden Senior Center Walk-a-thon on Saturday, September 16. The Senior Center hosted two work sessions involving the community to plan the event and improve it from last year. This year's walk included a brunch prepared by chefs Annie and Lisa which was shared following the walk as well as door prizes. Some who participated said the "best part" was seeing the fraternity students dance to Celtic music with the Sweden Senior Dancers. Money raised goes directly to the Senior Center programs.
