Nurturing future leaders
Tegan Leech, Rotary Club President Richard Kemp and Ashlei Couch are pictured. The teens visited the club to share their experiences with the Slapshot (Student Leadership Award Program for Students High on Training) Program. Slapshot is a Rotary-sponsored youth leadership program for high school students. As part of this program Leech and Couch spent a weekend in Canada with 70 other high school students from western New York State and southern Ontario. The two Holley students learned about leadership and learning styles and participated in a number of team building exercises. Both girls are participating in the New Visions Program with the Holley Central School system.
