Sweden Senior Center held its annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet Saturday, October 14. From June 2005 to May 2006 more than 130 senior volunteers contributed over 10,000 hours to the Sweden Senior Center and community. Some of the tasks these volunteers perform include computer data entry, advisory board, receptionists, greeters, gift sales, public relations, handwork, musicians, photographers, bookkeepers, gardeners, fundraisers, bakers, mentors, performers and research. These volunteers are the heart of Sweden Senior Center and staff cannot thank them enough for everything they do.
