AREA

Larson, Dean A., October 25, 2006. Survived by his wife, Melinda; children, Jennifer and Justin; his mother, Sylvia Larson; brother, Gary; sisters, Carol (Richard) Howie and Sheryl (Mark) Benvenuti; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by father, James Larson; brother, Jim and sister, Gail Lloyd.

A Prayer Service was held October 28 at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association in his memory.


BROCKPORT

French, John Edward (Jack), died November 1, 2006 at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center after a brief illness. Predeceased by his wife Lois in 2004; also pre-deceased by his parents, John and Kate French, his sister Audrey, his step-daughter, Wilma Fitzsimmons and his cousin Bob Jemmett. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Louise French of New-ington, Connecticut, son-in-law Don Fitzsimmons of Penn Yan; three grandchildren, Abigail Holt and her husband Ben of San Jose, California, Danette Loehr and her husband Ralph of Fairport, Michael Fitzsimmons and his wife Ann of Corning; four great grandchildren, Adam Loehr, Kara Olson and Cody Fitzsimmons, Nathan Holt and two great-great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Madelyn. Jack worked for the United States Postal Service for 38 years, and served as Assistant Postmaster in Brockport until he retired in 1973. Jack was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church and also active in community affairs, having served in the WWII Civilian Protection Organization, and on the Commission for the new Senior Citizens Center.

Private graveside services for the family were held. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held Tuesday, November 7 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church for family and friends. Donations can be made to a charity of one's choice in his memory.


•Reardon, Anne G., On October 31, 2006 of Patchogue and formerly of Brockport. Loving wife of William F. Devoted mother of the late Anne Fallon of Brockport and William, Kathleen, Daniel, Thomas, David, Theresa, Jane and Christine. Beloved grandmother of 31 and great grandmother of 13.

A Funeral Mass was said November 4 at the R.C. Church of the Nativity, Brockport. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.


HILTON

Howie, Ruby K., October 28, 2006, on her 82nd birthday. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George F. Howie; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Carol Howie; two granddaughters, Kerri (Eric) Griffin and Kelly (Tom) Gielow; one great-granddaughter, Reilly; sister-in-law, Joan Kerrison. Predeceased by her brother, Rev. Ernest Kerrison.

Funeral Services were held November 1 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hilton United Methodist Church Remem-brance Fund or American Heart Association in her memory.


HOLLEY

DePalma, Corinne K., age 99, died October 28, 2006 at Lakeside Memorial Hospital, Brockport, following a brief illness. She had been a lifetime resident of this area and a member of St. Mary R.C. Church. Mrs. DePalma was predeceased by her husband Richard DePalma and also her brothers Joseph, Generosa and Edward Charles and by her sister Adelaide Varner. She is survived by her daughters Charlene (Arthur) Sielaff and Anne (Bill) Carpenter; grand-daughters, Michele (Andy) Andrews and Nicole and Kyleigh Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Randy, Ryan and Harleigh Andrews; sisters Rose Fouchey of Michigan and Pauline Stazie of Holley; sister-in-law, Angeline Nenni of Horseheads; brother-in-law, Thomas DePalma; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said November 4 at St. Mary R. C. Church, Holley. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Lakeside Memorial Hospital or to Hospice of Orleans County.


Seaward, Donna H. (Hoffman), age 60, died October 26, 2006. Survived by her loving husband Grant E. Seaward; son Grant E. Seaward II; sisters Dorothy Gilley, Diane Holland, Delia (Bill) McIntyre and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna was a sixth grade teacher at Brighton Middle School for nine years and founded Seaward Candies.

KENDALL

•Moyer, Joey, Age 45, died suddenly October 30, 2006 at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Christy; son, Brandon, at home; daughter, Brandi Coville of Albion; father, Clarence (Patty) "Jr" of Holley; step-mother, Linda Moyer of Albion; siblings Susie (Keith) Redick of Kendall, Randy of Albion, Jesse (April) of North Carolina, Wayne (Rhonda) of Holley, Tim of Kent, Renna (Terry) VanEpps of Gates, Betsy (Billy) Ray of Albion, Clarence (Carrie) of Holley; mother-in-law, Judy Little of Kendall; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, John, and mother, Pauline.

Funeral Services were held November 3 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley. Interment, Sandy Creek Cemetery.


KENT

Mann, John R., Age 77, October 31, 2006. Predeceased by son John Standish Mann in 1995. Survived by wife of 57 years, Janice, and also by daughters Mary Beth (Andre´) Chassagnol of Eragny-Sur-Epte, France and Lisa (Kenneth) Brown of Blairsville, Georgia; grandchildren Jamie Lynn Brown, Daniel Brown and John Steven Mann; sisters Margery (Lester) Newell of Horseheads and Carol (Donald) Lyon of Amherst, New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held November 6 at the Gaines-Carlton Community Church. Interment in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Hospice of Orleans County, Gaines-Carlton Community Church or to The Cobblestone Society.


NORTH CHILI

Magill, Virginia M., age 84, October 24, 2006. Last fall she had moved into her son's home in Elkhart, Indiana, while undergoing breast cancer treatment. In 1990, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Professor Stanley R. Magill. She is survived by sons Keith (Becky) of Elkhart, Indiana and Wayne (Karen) of Upland, California; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother Robert Grinnell of Tucson, Arizona; a niece and a nephew. A member of Pearce Memorial Church for 57 years and a respected mathematics teacher and educator in the Greece School systems for 27 years.

Tranello, Barbara J., Suddenly, October 31, 2006 at age 56. Survived by her daughter, Danielle Tranello; mother Gerry (Fitzpatrick) Ammering; brothers, Dan, Jim and Mike Ammering; sisters, Kathie (Jerry) Hugelmaier, Sue (Tony) Uttaro and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father, Mark Ammering, and Andy Kelly. Barb was a long time employee of General Code Publishers.

A Funeral Service was held November 2 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Private interment. Contributions can be made to Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance in her memory.


Wallace, Barbara Ann (Emmons), October 30, 2006 at age 61. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, James R. Wallace; her sons, Michael (Barbara) Wallace of Penfield, Richard (Jennifer) Wallace of Gates and James E. Wallace of Spencerport; six grandchildren, Patrick and Susan Wallace, Cory, Amanda, Ashley and Coen Wallace; her brother Robert (Verena) Emmons; several nieces and nephews.
