BOCES 2 names Crystal Apple winner

Judy Hoke, Occupational and Physical Therapy Department chair, will receive the BOCES 2 Crystal Apple Award. Hoke is the fourth person ever to receive the organization's prestigious award.

Hoke has been employed at BOCES 2 since 1989 and has a reputation for unparalleled dedication to students, solid leadership and an unassuming style.

Hoke said she was surprised by the recognition. "It is shocking and something very unexpected. There are many people in this organization that I would consider to be more deserving."

Hoke will be presented with the Crystal Apple at the November 4 Employee Appreciation Event. Only one Crystal Apple is given out annually. Strong candidates will have a track record of exceptional work as articulated through the organization's core values. Past Crystal Apple winners are Carolyn Schumacher, Kathy Kelly and Kathy Quivey.
