Oklahoma gold wrestling weekend

SUNY Brockport will host the seventh annual Oklahoma Gold Wrestling Tournament November 11 in the Tuttle North Gymnasium. The event features Division I programs from the University of Oklahoma, Army, Bloomsburg, Brown University, University of Buffalo, Kent State and Rutgers. Oklahoma ended last season ranked fourth in the nation in Division I and features four senior wrestlers ranked in the top in the nation: Sam Hazewinkle second at 125 pounds, Matt Storniolo fourth at 149 pounds, Joel Flaggert fifth at 197 pounds and Jake Hager fifth at HWT.

Brockport, ranked seventh in the NWCA preseason poll, has three wrestlers ranked in seniors Rob Vaccaro, ranked fifth at 125 pounds, senior Don Ooton who is fifth at 149 pounds and junior Shaheim Bradshaw, who is ranked sixth at 157 pounds.

The tournament begins at 10 a.m. with the finals scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
