Parks committee meeting planned

The Village of Brockport Parks Committee will meet at the Barry Street Playground near the tennis courts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 18. The meeting will be to gather information and suggestions under the Memorandum of Understanding reached between the Village of Brockport and General Electric and Black & Decker. The companies are making a contribution of $62,000 for environmental and/or community recreational projects in the village. At least $37,000 of the $62,000 is dedicated to making physical improvements to the village's park located between Lyman and Barry Streets. Additional project(s) at the park, and/or other environmental and/or community recreational projects in the village, to be funded with the remaining $25,000 from the contribution.
