Ogden to start property field review

The Town of Ogden Assessor's Office will begin a field review of all of the properties in the town as required by the New York State Office of Real Property Services. The entire town will be driven and the property data on file will be compared with what is seen in the field. This will typically be done from the street. Property photos will also be updated as part of the process; so some houses will be photographed.

The assessor's office is using the assistance of David Miller of Assessment and Valuation Services. When in the field, he will have signs in the windows of his car that say "Revaluation Program Assessor's Office. There will be someone in the field through next spring.
