Flags donated to schools

Spencerport High School Senior John Surman (left), a volunteer in the High School Library, presented an American flag to Superintendent of Schools Mary Anne Kermis and the President of the Board of Education, Laura McFarlane (right). Surman represented the school district at an interfaith program and breakfast meeting of the Unity Masonic Lodge of Spencerport. The Masons donated new American flags to schools and organizations as part of the 225th anniversary celebration of the Grand Lodge of New York State. The flags will hang in the High School Library, Canal View Elementary School and the District Office Building. Submitted photo.
