Good Luck It was a short ceremony Wednesday, November 29 but it had many tender moments as Hilton school officials Denney Wilcox, athletic director; David Dimbleby, school superintendent; Brian Bartalo, principal and Mike Szczepanik, girls cross country coach, gave accolades, flowers and small gifts to the eight members of the Girls Cross Country Varsity team who were to leave early the next morning for a repeat performance in the Nike Team National Cross Country Race in Portland, Oregon. Chaperone Jeff Merkel and a number of family members of the participants planned to travel to the event. The girls and their coach gathered outside the school to celebrate their departure by releasing clusters of balloons. The eight members of the Hilton Cross Country Club making the trip are: sophomores Kristen Campbell, Chelsea Abrams, Lindsay Crocetti and Sarah Ritchie; juniors Ashley Jones and Shelby Herman and seniors Allison Sawyer and Caroline Schultz.
