Two local Marines visited Spencerport's Bernabi Elementary School to help students commemorate Veteran's Day. LCpl. Joe Polimeni is a 2002 graduate of Greece Athena High School. He and Cpl. Dona Loio, a 2002 graduate from West Irondequoit, work as recruiters in Rochester. Polimeni recently returned from Infantry duty in Iraq. Loio is a Marine truck driver and explained his job to students. Students asked how the Marines can stay awake so long when they are on duty. Students also asked about the features of the dress uniform the Marines were wearing.
