Sweden Town Supervisor Bud Lester reads from a statement accepting the donation of a flagpole from VFW Post 2890; Commander Ray Catlin stands immediately to his left, joined by other members of the post. The flagpole is situated in a landscaped setting in front of the Sweden/Clarkson Community Center. "We've donated about five or six poles in the past five years. This one cost us about $800," VFW Commander Ray Catlin said. The flagpole was installed by the Sweden Highway Department.
