For the months of September and October, the students of Trinity Christian Preschool in Spencerport participated in a fundraiser called "Spare Change for Spencerport Fire Department, Trinity Christian Preschool Gives Back." Along with their teachers, Betty Kelley, Jodi Blank and Laurie Butts, the students and their families brought their spare change into school. All monies raised were matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. A check in the amount of $489 was presented to Fireman Mitch Flagg on Friday, December 8 at the children's Christmas program. "We have never done a fundraiser before, but because of our long time friendship with the Fire Department, we felt it was important to give something back," the teachers said. Submitted photo.
